For dogs 12 months and older please consider ProHeart (an injection given every12 months) for heartworm prevention paired with a flea and tick prevention. For just flea and tick prevention, you can consider using either; 1) Simparica (a chewable given every 4 weeks) or 2) Frontline Plus (applied topically every 4 weeks and this product is over the counter)
